"Taxicab Yellow" 9" X 12" Pastel

                                                                       
In the middle of winter I think many people are anticipating the start of spring and the planting season. My garden is never very large or grand, but even the few potted flowers I start each March on my patio are so welcome.

    This flower is amazing, Carol!! You did a beautiful job on color and love the light hitting the flower!!! Do you use Unisom for the yellows! Very rich!!!

      Thank you, Hilda. I do use a lot of Unison pastels because they apply so well to the semi-rough paper I use. I think I also used some Sennelier and a few Rembrandt with this one. Aren't we lucky to have such quality pastel manufacturers?

      I can only figure that my early childhood must have been in black and white, Lorraine, because now I just go CCRRAAAAZZYYY with the color. Pastel sticks these days are a feast of hues, and it's difficult to hold back. I'm working on it! Thank you very much, Lorraine, for commenting!
