Blue Bonnets Growing Wild 6" X 8" oil on panel

I ran across this photo on a website where photographers post photos that
artists may use copyright free. It is called PMP or Paint My Photo.
HERE is a link to their website.

They have an abundance of photos from all over the world taken by people
who have traveled or wish to share their photos
with others.

I have been very impressed with the quality of the photos.
Many of them pay close attention to lighting
conditions which are so important
for artists.

It was fun to work on a landscape for a change.
It's not an area in which I am proficient.
I know it would help to do more of them so I would get better, right?
Yes.

What a great start to my day!
I blinked, rubbed my eyes and blinked again when i saw your name, Carol. It has been a while. I consider this a christmas gift.

  3. I really need to make painting a more frequent commitment, Diana! I lost the momentum somewhere along the line, but I do love painting and need to advance my skills. Thank YOU for producing such excellent work. I am inspired every time I see yours.

  4. I just love blue flowers and this 'carpet ' of blue is really captivating. Also I like the perspective ,looking from down and up is an unusual angle, but very efficacious ! Thank you for the link , I will check it out, sounds interesting .

    1. Hi Jane,
I like your term "carpet of blue" because that is really what it looks like when a field is covered with single colored flowers or a field with multi-colored flowers. Beautiful either way. I imagine you might have many wildflowers in the springtime where you live because of all the sun you have.

  6. You were very fortunate to see Blue Bonnets in person. I've always wanted to travel to Texas during the season to catch the beauty of these flowers! Some photos of them I've seen are utterly stunning. I don't know, Hilda, if they would grow here either. It gets so hot in the summer.

Thank you so much for your kind words. And, thank you for motivating me. Your works are always an inspiration!!

    1. Thank you, Debbie, for your kind remark. We've been lucky of late to have sunny skies each day. Nights are cold, but that's what blankets are for. I hope you and your family have a beautiful Christmas. Blessings to you, Debbie for your good heart and generous caring.
