I did some some additional experimenting with plums photographed on foil. I used another piece of scrapbooking paper for the background. The foil picks up and disperses the patterns from the scrapbooking paper. Kind of cool! Thanks again to
Carol Marine for mentioning this technique many months ago.
This IS kind of cool. Love the bright plums against the soft blue and cream.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU so much for supporting me in the Susan G Komen walk. Means so much Carol!
Thank you, Carol, and cheers to you for taking action on a cause in which you believe!
ReplyDeleteWow, now that is up front gorgeous color. And SOLD as well. Jean
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Jean!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and unusual - the colors really sing together, too. Congratulations on the sale!
ReplyDeleteRhonda, thank you so much for writing. I really enjoyed working on it. I did a second one using different scrapbooking paper - kind of a spring green color - and the effect was so different.
ReplyDeleteThis is really cool, Carol! I love these colors together. I was trying to find Carol's post about this technique but wasn't able to. Do you remember about when it was so I can check it out?
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Brenda
Brenda, thank you. I went back into Carol's archives and found her description in her March 23, 2008 post. It's under her painting "Lemon Reflections." Have fun if you try this method!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, creative. Love your work.
ReplyDeleteI really appreciate your kind comments. It's so nice to get that feedback.:)
