I admire so much the works of
Carol Marine a daily oil painter and master of the still life. Her set-ups are always lighted beautifully and her skill with color, pattern, composition and brushstrokes is phenomenal. She has inspired me over and over.
This work of mine is in pastel and very
humbly offered as an effort toward emulating her informal, fun approach to painting.
Nice work on this and with a little fun thrown in = always makes for good artwork :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rhonda. I agree. Having fun IS an important part of the art process. It's so easy at times to focus on the end product and forget to enjoy the trip. Thank you for writing.
ReplyDeleteI really like this unusual format. I understand the inspiration by Carol Marine, but I think you really own this one. It's all you, and well done!
ReplyDeleteMarguerite,
ReplyDeleteThis is an extremely kind thing to say, and I feel very humbled. Carol Marine is just "magical" in my eyes. Her colors are always so pure and fresh, and her set-ups are original and fun. What talent! Thank you again for your comments.
