A Touch of Yellow 8" X 8" Oil on panel SOLD

I love these flowers with their little "knobs" in the middle. They grow everywhere in all kinds of climate zones, or at least a version of them. I've seen them in the desert, the mountains, the plains and of course, in bouquets. They're always so cheery, don't you think?

Up for auction at Daily Paintworks.     Click here.

  6. These flowers really catch your eye. It's an unusual composition, with the flowers mostly at the top of the picture, but it works! Congratulations on your painting making the Daily Paintworks Pick of the Day.

    1. Thank you, Melanie. It is a different composition than most. Probably doesn't fall into any known category, but I think it's okay. Good to hear from you.

  7. You truly captured those petals. They have the satiny shine that is so lovely in nature. And as hmuxo said, they pop right out at the viewer.

  8. Hi again Carol! This is my second favorite painting. I love how well defined the flowers are and how soft and mysterious the rest the painting is. Lovely colors and composition.
May I ask you how to set up your blog with the reply link under the comments? I've seen that before but have no idea how to set it up. Thank you for your help and comments!!!

    1. Susan, how nice of you to write and I appreciate your very kind comment! I'm sorry I'm late in responding. Some of my Blogger comments have been going a different route for some reason, and I'm generally not seeing them until a few days later. I don't know why. So, please forgive me for the delay.
As for your question, when a comment comes into my email box, there is a "Publish, Delete, or Moderate" option below the message. I click "Publish." The message then goes on my blog. Then, while still on the message page, I click on the title of the post, This takes me to that post on my blog. The comment is there and under it it says "Reply" or "Delete." When I click "reply" a little box comes up for me to write a message. It's been fun to "visit" with my "blogging friends," and I'm so grateful to them for all their suggestions and thoughts. Hope this helps. If not, let me know and I'll see if there is a more helpful explanation.
