"CURTAIN CALL" 6" X 6" oil SOLD

"They're b-a-a-ck!" More pears! I have just been enjoying this subject so much that I couldn't stop. I wanted to change it up a bit with backlighting which intrigues me.

I also wanted to thank everyone for your encouragement and kind words. It makes a big difference -
a H-U-G-E difference, and I am so appreciative!

Daily Paintworks has opened up their membership to artists for showing and perhaps auctioning their art. DPW has made it very affordable and easy to list and keep track of your artwork. A superb job of programming by David Marine. I am now listed with them and looking forward to several new things they offer. Go to   http://www.dailypaintworks.com/dailypaintings to see the art, read the artists' profiles and see how the auctions work.

  3. Thank you, Jean. I've had much inspiration from fellow artists such as yourself. I'm so fortunate to be doing this!

  4. Hi Ellie! I need to explore and learn more about color combinations. I know the choices are beyond numerous, but sometimes it's difficult to know which ones are best for the painting.

  5. These are my favorite so far (I bet you have more up your sleeve too!). That complimentary color scheme really grabs my attention. Those pears look like they are glowing, from my end anyway:)

  6. Thank you, Libby. I could do pears quite often really, but I'm going to try some other subjects before I become known as "The Pear Lady."

  7. These pears and the View from on Top are great. Love the way you did both of them. This one has a mixed media look to it. Good luck with your new listing.

  8. Stephanie, thank you so much for your comments. It's been kind of an experimental week with painting - colors, composition, etc. Loads of fun. I'm glad you like the pears. :)

  11. Beautiful color and light! Good that you're on DPW . . . seems a great way to get exposure and be part of a larger community. The Marines are brilliant!
